CASINO Leaders of Casino High School ONWARD 2024 Casino High School is a large inclusive public high school which caters for every student within our diverse community. The process involved in becoming a member of the student leadership team is student driven and democratic. Students nominate themselves and present their views both in written and oral form to the staff and their fellow students. Once the leaders are elected for the Student Representative Council there is an expectation that the leaders will represent the school in all community and formal events as well as participate in all sporting and extracurricular events. Being a member of the SRC at Casino High School is considered to be an honour amongst the student body and entire school community. Our leaders for 2024 are a dynamic group of young adults who contribute extensively to the school making us and our community proud. In my role as School Captain I am aiming to build positive relationships within our school community and focus on leading and representing the school to a high standard. You will usually find me playing basketball with junior and senior students at the basketball courts during break times! I must confess I am a Basketball tragic. Phoebe Boucher School Captain Elijah Freet The word aspiration by definition has two meanings: the first one relates to hopes and ambitions, the second meaning to rise high, or tower. For those who know me I am 154.9cm tall (5'1) and have never been able to tower over anything. So, hopes and ambitions are very important to me. I have goals. I would like to rise high. I would like to travel the world and educate children. I believe in education for all. Individual growth through. education has no age limit. I am proud to be Casino High School's Captain for 2024 and I am determined to reach my goals and to support students in my school. After I leave high school, my plan is to complete a Bachelor of Advanced Science, majoring in Biochemistry, at university. In this role I would be able to help communities and society by researching and developing medicines for diseases. To achieve this dream I work after school and on weekends at the Casino Food Co-op as a packer. The role of Vice-Captain at Casino High School will assist me in building the skills I need for my future including working as a part of a team. I enjoy my leadership responsibilities and the honour of representing all members of the school community. Avah Mohammed Vice Captain I am Avah Mohammed and I am a part of the Casino High School's leadership team. I believe I am a born leader, a person who can go through every bump and still manage to go on. I am passionate about farm life, woodwork, dogs and sport. I see myself married with kids, hopefully living on a property with my own cattle and heaps of dogs. I am probably going to "wing it" until I make it to where I am supposed to be. I hope to achieve a Band 6 in Industrial Technology Timber - Products and Furniture Technologies, and use these skills throughout my life. Elijah Freeburn Vice Captain I am Elijah Freeburn and I am proud to be Vice-Captain of Casino High School. Hopes, dreams and aspirations can sometimes be far from reality, but one day I aspire to work as a high school teacher. I am sure everyone wants to live a life of wealth and good health but for many people these are big challenges to overcome. The thought of helping kids get an education and enjoy high school is very appealing. I am an average kid just like everyone else and that inspires me to reach my hopes and dreams through education.
